Core 5

Core 5 are the five areas we believe every person should strive for while getting involved at HHC. These areas serve as a great guide to maximizing your purpose and potential through the local church. Let’s break these down:

ATTEND:
You have something to offer at every corporate setting HHC has. Friendship..Worship…Service… Love…Conversations. Attendance is a discipline waning in our society. If you commit to HHC, commit to BE HERE. It’s more of a respect for God than a respect for us as a church. We believe that when you show up, God shows up to meet you. The more we get disconnected the harder it is for us to live out our God-given purpose.

GROW:
We desire that everyone who is part of HHC to be growing in their relationship with Christ. We want to see people truly become fully-devoted disciples who are fulfilling their calling. We have several opportunities for peole to grow through groups, classes, events, our growth challenge, & more. Sunday services are great, but we want you to take the next step and intentionally pursue growth opportunities.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (MSG)
My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.

SERVE:
We have so many opportunities for you to move beyond just attending and growing. It takes a team of people to fulfill our mission to see life change happen in people. By getting involved in a service team on Sunday, throughout the week, or the various missions we are involved in you can make a significant difference.

Luke 6:38 (MSG)
“Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”

SUPPORT:
There are 3 areas we ask for your support.
1) Prayer
We need your spiritual support and love. Prayer is the best way to demonstrate this. We believe that prayer can move mountains and this is why we want to partner with people who utlize the power of prayer for our church. We are on a mission and we need all the prayer we can get to make it happen.

2) Talk
We need your positive verbal support as a church. The way you talk about our people, our mission, and our events is a big deal. We desire to be a church that is unified together walking in grace towards each other. The more we can be supportive by building up rather than tearing down helps us truly be a church with a heart for all people.

3) Biblical Giving
God wants to fund a central place where we can make a create a corporate momentum, worship together, learn together, grow together, see life-change together, invite others. God doesn’t need your money, He wants your obedience. We believe that as we unite together as a team and contribute to the cause of our mission we can make an incredible difference in our community. It takes everyone practicing Biblical giving to truly be the best we can be.

Malachi 3:10 (NCV)
Bring to the storehouse a full tenth of what you earn so there will be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord All-Powerful. “I will open the windows of heaven for you and pour out all the blessings you need.”

INVITE:
Once you secure your life with Christ, it is all about others discovering Christ, the joy of the journey with Him, and securing eternal life. The greatest win…focus off of self and on others. We want to be a church that reaches out to others to share the love and joy of a life with Christ. It is vital that we go out from HHC and invite people not only into our church, but more importantly a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Luke 14:23 (NIV)
