Gary grew up in the Greenwood, Indiana area and married his high school sweetheart, Martha, in 1965 (he married well). They moved to the Martinsville area in 1973 with their two older sons, Tad and Christopher, and added another son, Wes, to the tribe in 1977. The Pages enjoy 8 grandchildren.
He worked at Ford Motor Company for 31 years, retiring in 1996. He became a Christian in 1969 and attended church at a small Martinsville congregation for over 20 years where he served as a minister and elder until 1991. He also sang and played guitar in several gospel groups from 1973 to 1988.
In the spring of 1994, Chris, a recent graduate of World Harvest Bible College, decided to pioneer a new ministry in the Martinsville area. At the beginning of that summer, in the home of Gary and Martha, Hoosier Harvest Church had its first service.
